Where Are They Wednesday? O.C.

I dont mean the lame ass TV show, I mean O.C. The Brooklyn native down with DITC. Originally signed to Wild Pitch who also had Gang Starr & Ultramagnetic MC's on their label, O.C. never got the true regonition he deserved. After his 2nd album Jewelz, I didn't hear too much from here besides a cameo here or there. Below is the song he's widely known for. Noticed how I jacked the title for my Blog Headline!

Where Are They Wednesday? Royal Flush

Yo, I love Hip-Hop that came out post Pac & BIG. That's not a shot and I'll explain later this week. But this is one of the reasons. Royal Flush never blew up like that, but eastcoast hip-hop listeners should definitely remember dude. The track was crazy and Noreaga...(yes, not Nore. Trust me, there's a difference) on the hook made this a street banger. Interested in the vinyl promo download, holla at me.

A Blend From Our Sponsor!!!

My boy Vrsoul out in the Sunshine State blessed me with a ill blend. 90's R&B gem 'Freak Like Me' (Where the hell is Adina Howard?) blended over Shabba Ranks 'Ting-A-Ling' riddim. I used to love that Shabba Ranks video. Racheal from Carribean Rhythms played that video every week for months...anyway Im gettin flashbacks of Racheal fine ass. Without further of do, click the link for this banger.

Stick Up Kids Is Out To Tax

A lotta ur favorite artists has been stuck for their shine. Nas, Busta, Yung Berg (though I doubt he's anyone favorite)and after this video I gurantee this cat will e next. My people

Entourage Mondays

So this cat Andrew is slippin...majorly!!! Coming up, I remember my brother Mike always saying not to mess with a chick that you work with or live with ie; roomate, same apt bldg/complex, live on your block or very close proximity. FOr very obvious reasons and if you need to ask why, body urself. I say that to say this. Andrew is truly messing up. Lemme put you on, Andrew career was slippin so Ari put him on over at his agency. Andrew does big things and havent let Ari down. But now Andrew has been sleeping with a co-worker while lying to his wife of course. Mind you, Andrew wife has grown close to Ari's which is beginning to mess up his happy home. Andrew then cuts her off only to leave his wife and possibly pursue his co-worker
This is where cats fail. He can't possibly expect that getting with his sideline chick will work. His wife or soon to be ex wife will take him to the cleaners!!! I believe the old saying cheaper to keer her. His wife migth be a nuisance, but every chick is. Give it time and his side piece will get on his nerves also. In the case with Nas, it would've benefited him to stay with her. Do mad tours, studio appearances, videos, whatever it takes to get from around her, but once that divorce is final...in the immortal words of Juicy J "Child support can burn like torch!"

What The Ish?!?

I love my city. West Side, East Side, All Sides...But when I peeped this video I thought to myself, not again. See here in Baltimore, we've yet to to have an artist in Hip-Hop "blow" from our city. We've had directors, actors & actresses, comedians, authors, athletes, etc...but in Hip-Hop we just haven't had that one MC to stake his claim and put us "on the map". For those outside of Baltimore, Club Music is a Baltimore staple and has been around for quite some time. Im talkin 20 years plus. DJ Class who's been doing his thing for years & years have pretty much hit the nail on the head with "Im The Ish". Everytime I DJ, the most drunkest, sober, stuck up chick, thug plottin a stick up and bouncer usually stop what they doing and sing loudly as soon as they hear "I got them diamonds on my deck, got Patron in my cup..". Sheer pandemonium ladies & gentleman! Not to mention Lil' Jon on the track with the crazy ass ad-libs. Then to turn something great into something greater, Kanye West lends his vocal and now this track is certified club banger right in the midst of Beyonce "Get Me Bodied" and Jay-Z "Public Service Announcement".
Therefore when I heard there was a video for this song, I said this might just might skyrocket Baltimore in having a great rep for party anthems and not just Wire episodes. But then when I peeped it, one word came to mind...Loss. We took a L. Video is straight garbage. Don't get me wrong, I'm no director but this video looked as if it wasn't any treatment written. No actual meeting. No nothing. From the lame colored background to the random girls with the martini glasses to the red letters scrolling across the screen..sigh. Please tell me this isn't it. You can't go hard halfway. Now I know when people read this one word will come to mind..Hater. But ask urself, if you peeped the video before you heard the song, would you like it the same?
